I am ACC for Technology and Renewals in my Council. I have a parent that is trying to renew their Scout and is getting an “Invalid Request” error on the Payment/Checkout page. It appears that parent is trying to renew using a web browser on an iPhone. The membership is set to expire on 7/31/2024. Please advise on possible causes and resolution. Thank you!
The actual Renewal Status is not clear since the system are not in alignment:
- My.Scouting.org Roster shows “Submitted”
- Scoutbook Plus Roster shows “Eligible to Renew”
@shigadeyo that is a question for council staff to answer or turn in a National Ticket to solve
For others having this issue and finding this thread…
I have discovered that this is an issue affecting multiple, if not all, Councils and therefore is likely a system problem. Tickets are being opened with National.
It seems that the issue is with auto-renewal. If the auto-renew is enabled when trying to renew, the system will throw this “Invalid Request” error. Uncheck the auto-renew option and the transaction will complete as expected.
