Merge a parent account

Hi there,

I once again need to get a parent account merged.

  • SB User ID 678890, Member ID 140373179
  • SB User ID 13180989, Member ID 12107931

They are trying to renew their Scout’s membership, SB User ID 12354643, Member ID 140256194. Last time I had a parent who had issues renewing, it was because of having duplicates.

This parent also has two other Scouts at Troop level, they show up when they sign into their my.scouting.org, but the daughter’s account doesn’t show up.

@PaulThomas4 The parent has 4 member ID (MID) numbers. I have put all 4 under management at my.Scouting.

In order to renew his daughter, he needs to log in at my.Scouting, click on “Manage Member ID”, and temporarily switch to MID 134714945. He should be able to renew his daughter under the daughter’s MID 140256194.

Afterwards, I would highly recommend that the parent contact the local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up the daughter. In the “Relationships” tab / section, he needs to be removed as parent under his secondary MID 134714945. Then he needs to be added as parent under his primary MID 12107931. This will help to prevent future issues.

I’m trying to delete my duplicate parent account for Scoutbook. Hopefully this will then let me add my new position as Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 149 in the Northeast Georgia Council. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. SBID 14198009

@Donald_F.Allen Scoutbook is fixed - as far as your registered positions you need to talk to council - you have conflicting positions in the same unit council needs to fix - ASM and Committee Member - so that one becomes valid

Donovan, I still have two accounts on my iphone app with the same email address. Is there any way to consolidate them?

Daniel does not have his own email address and we do not wish him to have one yet. If I need to provide a different email address and keep that email address for him, that would be fine.

@Donald_F.Allen If you do not want your Scout to have an e-mail address, that is fine. I can remove it in Scoutbook. The troop can always e-mail him through you.

There are still two profiles listed for me. My Member ID is 141517556. There is a redundant profile in the Scouting app on my iPhone with the same email address but a different profile pic.
