As a Troop leader, when I view a Scout’s profile and click on “Scout’s Merit Badges” and then click on an open merit badge, it displays an error if the merit badge is also one for which I am assigned as a merit badge counselor:
“Whoops! We encountered an error trying to process your request.
Please go to https://discussions.scouting.org/c/scoutbook/bugs to report this issue.“
This seems to have started with the latest Scoutbook update. It happens for all Scout/badge combinations I try.

@ErikHix ok that is good data - have been trying to figure out how users where seeing that error - will get it reported
If it’s listed in ScoutBook it should either work or redirect to ScoutBook Plus, not just display a random error message. This is a bug, not a feature.
The behavior is different based on whether or not I am a counselor for the badge I click on. If I’m not, it displays options to adjust the assigned counselor and links for editing completion either for counselors or unit leaders.
It works on test server just not on live server - so was hitting it at wrong place
So hopefully it will be fixed in the next update?

Since you are both the leader and MBC, your workaround is to use Scoutbook Plus (https://advancements.scouting.org) to approve the MB reqs. You will not see a Counselor Approve button but you will see Leader Approved.

Why did posted notes on merit badge requirements not get transferred over to SB+?
There’s a known issue that the notes aren’t displaying. From some of the other posts, it sounds like an API issue that’s being worked.
