When I log into my Scoutbook account and click connections, in the past I’ve just clicked on the Scout’s name and then the merit badge we are working on together and I can enter the scout’s progress. For the last couple of weeks, I have attempted to do this and I get an error message that sends me to this forum. My Scoutbook ID is 1653770. I’d love some direction on if this is a Scoutbook plus issue and how someone gets access to Scoutbook plus. My only role is as a merit badge counselor as my kids are all in their 20’s. I have several scouts waiting for me to get this figured out so I can approve their work and they can get credit for it. Thank you.
Merit badge counselor in our troop had the same problem.
if you are an MBC - it is best to go to Legacy Scoutbook (scoutbook.scouting.org) > My Dashboard > and use the top Left area > My Merit Badge Counseling - this is the fastest route - Going to My Connections is not ideal and is retiring
There is an error when I try to go into an individual merit badge for any scout in my unit. I cannot see the progress (or add advancement) for any scout’s merit badge. One of my counselors reports the same issue.
What’s the path that you’re using to get to the individual badge, @JillKinney? In classic Scoutbook or SB+?
Mobile dashboard, roster, scout name, scout’s merit badges, clicking individual merit badge.
@JillKinney- which site? advancements.scouting.org or scoutbook.scouting.org ?
Leaders need to use Scoutbook Plus (https://advancements.scouting.org) to view Merit Badge progress for Scouts. Legacy Scoutbook is for MBCs to approve requirements and MBs.

Okay, thanks, I will try it that way. But one of my MBCs who has no other position is also getting an error in Legacy. I logged in to try to enter that info for him.
Lots of MBCs are going to connections to find scout - it is best to go to Legacy > my dashboard > Top Left - My Merit Badge Counseling area

I miss the requirement by requirement approval process. Maybe I just need to tinker a bit more.
You can go requirement by requirement from there by selecting “edit merit badges for MB counselors.”
