I have a volunteer (MID 14611361) registered as a MB counselor but cannot be seen in Scoutbook or Scoutbook plus under MB couselors. Any suggestions?
@TinaLandfair - well MBC are not in scoutbook plus as yet.. and what do mean by can not be seen??
When someone is looking for a MB counselor, for example Bird Study, (one of the MBs that he is a counselor for) he does not appear in the list of counselors for that mb. Does that make sense?

Scoutbook? I can provide you with information for the volunteer that was asking me about this situation. I’m sorry I don’t work with Scoutbook on the unit side so I’m probably not being very helpful.

That individual is listed as both an ASM and a Committee member in Troop 370B with different expiration dates. Your council registrar will need to clean this up. Further, while registered as an MBC, no merit badges are assigned.

I can ask the registrar to clean up the dates. But there are merit badges assigned, I am looking at them in Registrar Tools - his name - advancement & training - merit badge counselor
@TinaLandfair yes there are MBs assigned - is the MBC already connected to the Scout as a leader? what is the Scouts MID?
You’re right. Sorry about that. The other issue still exists though.
The MBC’s Safeguarding Youth Training was just renewed yesterday. Did you try searching for the MBC today? An MBC with expired SYT will not appear in the search results. An overnight job must run after taking SYT in order for the MBC to reappear in the list.
The adult leader that brought this to my attention did not give me a Scout’s name. I believe it was discovered by just reviewing their mb counselor list and he was not on it. Again, I apologize for my ignorance. A volunteer came to me with a problem and I am just trying to help resolve it. I honestly know very little about Scoutbook from the unit side - I am a Council employee and through trying to provide support to my volunteers I am learning how to navigate through here. When they have issues, they want their Council to help solve them.
We appreciate you helping the volunteers as you are in a tough spot with all the questions they can send your way. If you can get a screenshot of where they are looking (without any personal info), it would certainly shed some light on it.
Yes the leader that was asking me did a search this morning while sitting in my office. This makes sense so maybe later today or check again tomorrow?

@TinaLandfair if a user is already connected to a scout in SB - they do not show up on Connection Searches - so if connected as a leader or a MBC already they will not show up
I just spoke to my leader from T 370B and the merit badge counselor and merit badges are now able to be seen. So, I’m guessing the SYT has updated and all is good now. Thank you all for your guidance and suggestions. I have learned one more thing to ask a volunteer when they are having issues. Hope you all have a great day!

that has a variety of classic Scoutbook and Scoutbook+ related help pages. I would suggest checking how recently any given help page was updated, since things are in a fair amount of flux as everything gets moved over to SB+ from classic Scoutbook (with some things still only available from the classic Scoutbook side as of today). Hopefully after everything (or at least all of the major features) settle on the SB+ side of things, updated help wiki pages can be created to reflect the then-current state of functionality for each interface.
