I’ve transferred from one council to another. I no longer have access to see my scouts profile…only my own. Council rep advises that my son is tied to my account, but I cannot see him in My.scouting or Scoutbook Plus. They suggest that I ask on these boards. Member ID142299112
my son’s Member ID is: 142299110
@CynthiaKesavan everything is fine with those numbers and they are in relationship. What do you mean (where) can you not see the profile?
In Scoutbook plus, previously, I logged in, and saw my scouts profile. And on the menu, it was the ‘youth profile’, if I recall.
I could find my information further down the list under profile.
Now, I go right into my profile, and there is no youth profile option in the left menu.
The roster option is new. I can see my son in the roster, but I cannot select his name, to see his activity.
@CynthiaKesavan - in the upper right is there a dropdown that shows your son ?
No. There used to be two troops listed. The one we left, and the one we just transferred to and I could click on either. Now, I only have the current troop. troop number and my position within the troop. My son’s name is not listed.
@CynthiaKesavan I would try an Incognito window in your browser
@CynthiaKesavan when did you get the 9112 number?
I just tried that. same options. The ‘roster’ seems to have taken over the youth profile.
After I arrived at my new location. Previous number was: 14790661
did you get it a few days ago or weeks ago?
I’m not really sure. I provided my information in early July to have my account transferred. They transferred my son, but had to send a link to invite me, to get my account transferred. I assume it was around then. I only logged in this week, and got a pop up message that I needed to tie my account to my son’s. The instructions advised that I could not do it as his parent…that someone in the troop committee would have to do it.
They were not sure how to do it, and asked our council rep. Council rep advised that the accounts were tied together, and it was a Scoutbook Plus issue, and to reach out to the forum. At the time the popup displayed, I could still access my scouts record.
Those are the OLD unit accounts - not the new TAC one.
Once I clicked the ‘X’ from the popup, I could see both troops/units listed. The records are all from the old troop, as we just moved here. My scout should now have one night of camping added under the new troop/council, but I cannot see any of his details. The youth profile is missing.
The only other change that I’m aware of, is that I volunteered for a committee position. That seemed to have added the ‘Roster’ on my left hand menu, replacing Youth profile.
@CynthiaKesavan I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green envelope > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
