My Account Keeps Getting Opted-Out of emails!

No matter how many times I turn on the setting to receive emails it always goes back to opted out within a day or two

no i set it to off/grey/left and within a couple of days it goes back to on/red/right

what do you mean cached, like cookies?

that is what I am wondering

i would think if it was cookies it would happen nearly immediately whereas this is happening days later

this issue arose following me changing my email address - i have now switched back to original email but the problem still presents itself

It sounds kinda like the flag is getting reset by some background process whose state is not being properly updated when the flag is changed to “yes” (i.e. OK to send), but does get flipped whenever the toggle state is changed to “no”. The background process then pushes the “no” back out to the interface.

If it’s cookie-based, though, it has to be tied to the browser. I wonder if the toggle state is getting “reset” by a new login, but takes some time to propagate through the system such that it’s noticed. Have you tried interrogating or deleting all cookies associated with scouting.org to see if one of them is governing things?
