MyScouting Organization Manager

I am newly in the positions of COR and CC in our Troop. I’ve transferred from a Committee Member. When I log in to MyScouting, I do not see the Organization Manager for the Troop. I am also COR for our Cub Scout Pack . I have access to the Organization Manager for the Pack.

@GaryTubbs if the new positions are less than 24 hours old there are syncs that need to happen

Thank you, Donovan. I can now see and move around within the Organization Manager. Here is a current challenge. I am registered as the COR for Pack 34, I am the Committee Chair for Troop 507. According to our council, the Rep from the Charter Org must be the COR for all Units Chartered by that Charter Org. So, functionally I am the COR for the Troop as well. However, we want another person to be the Charter Org, and allow me to function as the CC.

Can you help me?

Thank You,

Brad Tubbs

No each Charter has one COR - that is policy, not a unit decision. The Charter COR can assign COR Delegate to members of the unit to function the duties of COR for the given unit if desired.

Like @DonovanMcNeil said, the rep of the chartered org is a single person, they are THE rep. That person, though, can also be on the committee or be the CC. Or neither. So, as COR, you can make yourself CC.

@GaryTubbs - from the registration guidebook:

The chartered organization selects one of its members to register as chartered organization representative. This individual may also serve as chair or as unit committee member if needed. The chartered organization also often provides meeting facilities for the unit. No one may register
in more than one position in the same unit, except the chartered organization representative.

Chartered organizations that operate more than one unit (e.g., pack, troop, crew, and ship) must register the same individual as the chartered organization representative (CR) for all units chartered to that organization, because the CR serves as a voting member of the district committee and the council. The executive officer (IH) must also be the same person for all units chartered to that organization.

I am now both the COR and Committee Chair. However, when I cannot manage roles in the Position Manager, and our former COR who is no longer registered is still listed as COR. The same is true for our former Treasurer. She is no longer registered in Scouting, but I cannot remove her as Treasurer in the Position Manager.

@GaryTubbs

I understand how the Position Manager works. My issue is our previous COR is still showing up even though her registration is expired. Since I am the new COR, I should be able to manage roles. But, all roles are greyed out for me, meaning I cannot manage them.

@GaryTubbs have you talked with Council on this?
