Needless changes to field names

Why does someone at national insist on randomly changing field names in the various reports every few months?!

In the last two weeks someone changed all the field names in the unit pin data report and the trained leader report. The unit pin data report used to have these field names:

TerritoryName,CouncilName,District_Name,Unit_ID,Unit_Name,Pin_Status,Pin_View,Apply_Status,Primary_Contact_Name,Primary_Contact_Email,Primary_Contact_Phone,Alternate_Contact_Name__1,Alternate_Contact_Email__1,Alternate_Contact_Phone__1,Alternate_Contact_Name__2,Alternate_Contact_Email__2,Alternate_Contact_Phone__2,Unit_BeAScout_Address,Unit_Comunity_Org_Address,City,State,ZIPCODE,Latitude,Longitude,Unit_Website,Last_Modified_Date,Created_Date

Now, suddenly, today, it has these field names (all lower case, no underscores):

territoryname,councilname,districtname,unitid,unitname,pinstatus,pinview,applystatus,primarycontactname,primarycontactemail,primarycontactphone,alternatecontactname1,alternatecontactemail1,alternatecontactphone1,alternatecontactname2,alternatecontactemail2,alternatecontactphone2,unitbeascoutaddress,unitcomunityorgaddress,city,state,zipcode,latitude,longitude,unitwebsite,lastmodifieddate,createddate

And the trained leader report went from this (2 weeks ago):

Council,Service Area,District,Sub-District,Unit,Gender Accepted,Chartered Org Name,First Name,Middle Name,Last Name,Zip Code,MemberID,Program,Email,Position,Direct Contact Leader,Trained,Registration Expiration Date,Incomplete Mandatory,Incomplete Classroom,Incomplete Online

… to this today (underscores instead of spaces):

Council,Service_Area,District,Sub_District,Unit,Gender_Accepted,Chartered_Org_Name,First_Name,Middle_Name,Last_Name,Zip_Code,MemberID,Program,Email,Position,Direct_Contact_Leader,Trained,Registration_Expiration_Date,Incomplete_Mandatory,Incomplete_Classroom,Incomplete_Online

It’s so annoying and COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY!!! All it does it waste everyone’s time who actually uses these reports.

PLEASE STOP!!

Nobody on the forums here has access to the team that supports my.scouting. All feedback/bug reports/support tickets have to go to national through the council professional staff via MemberCare tickets. Who the relevant person is at each council varies, so you may have to ask around your professional staff at the council to get the right person.
