This is a follow up from the question I posted previously below. Our Membership and Advancement coordinator from our local council spoke with the national office and was told that electronic applications don’t work for existing webelos/scouts, (see comment pasted below).
It just seems bizarre that they would have an “existing scout” check box and a place to type in a BSA ID, but no “Coming Soon” or other indication that it doesn’t actually work. It really seems like we must be missing something here.
Almost all the boys joining our troop are webelos so the electronic application system is basically useless. Can anyone offer any any suggestions before we switch back to paper apps?
I confirmed with the National office that the online registration system is not yet able to handle transfers. It is something that they are currently working on, so hopefully it will be available soon.
