I check my.scouting regularly to monitor applications. A couple of leader applications have gone missing (COR has been unable to approve them because he was having trouble getting into his account and isn’t the most tech savvy to begin with and council said they could not mark them as approved when he went there in person; however, if we get them back he has now gotten into his account and should be able to approve them), so I was poking around in some of the reports and I see that we have had three Scout applications that never showed up for me and are now listed as expired. They simply seem to have gone straight from being submitted into some sort of no man’s land until they expired and were closed.
@ErinBrown applications with no unit action a council can move to another unit - I would start the conversation with council - under Unit Pin you can set it up to auto accept scouts
The problem isn’t that there was no unit action; it is that the applications never showed up in the first place for me to be able to approve them. I did make my council aware that we had applications that had never shown up and just ended up in the closed folder, but I thought I should also post here.
Unfortunately, there isn’t anyone with access into the my.scouting team who works the boards here. That all has to be routed to the developers for that site via the council professionals submitting a Member Care ticket. The SUAC volunteers here only have access to report issues to the developers for Classic Scoutbook, Scoutbook+ (FKA Internet Advancement 2) and the Scouting app (I think).
Thank you. That is too bad. I find this forum to be the most useful tool we have. I appreciate how incredibly responsive the volunteers are. Anything they are able to do, they have always taken care of basically immediately. If only they were in charge of everything!
