No longer have access to a Unit

I am the Committee Chair for two (2) units, one (1) male and one (1) female. At some point over the weekend I have lost access to the female unit. I am still listed correctly on both rosters in my.scouting.org.

Yeah something is wrong with your registration in the Female Troop - taking a look at it - you might also want to call council

When you renewed for Male troop did you also select the female troop to renew?

Yes, renewed for both. I was in both units on Friday and everything was ok. It looks like I also do not have access to edit a calendar entry in Scoutbook+.

@JasunStanton

Speak to your Council. We only see a renewed membership for T0329, not T9329. Your T9329 membership expired 12/31/24 so the 3 month grace period ended today.

Thanks, it looks like a bunch of other adults are gone as well. How about the calendar issue? I can view the events but not edit?

@JasunStanton

If you or your Scout is invited to an event you will be able to see it. Only certain registered leaders can edit events. Since your registration and grace period has expired you lost your edit ability.

This would be for the boys Troop. I can see the events and am still listed on the events, but can not edit them. I created the events.

@JasunStanton

Are the events joint with the girl’s troop? If they are, you must be able to edit calendar events in both troops in order to edit the events.

Yes, they would be joint events. That makes sense then. I am working with council on the registration issue.

In my experience with folks in your situation, the easiest path forward is to go to my.scouting.org > my application > transfer/multiple applications and click multiple beside your active position. Then the COR will need to approve you and assign your position. Thats usually a heck of a lot easier than “fixing” it.

Experiencing something similar.
I am the Advancement Chair for both T553-BT and T6553-GT.
I still have access as Troop Admin in Boys Troop, but lost access in Girls Troop.
Our Scoutmaster and Treasurer also lost Troop Admin access.

@mitchelr the fastest resolution is for another admin to restore the admin position - it is being investigated.

That was my first avenue, but they can’t seem to figure it out.

Go the the person > click Positions > add it

Still no luck.
Any updates on this?

@mitchelr - did you ask another unit admin to add your position back?

I asked, but no response.
This happened to our Scoutmaster as well.

We have a dual registered Leader who fell off of our Pack Roster (he’s still has access in the Troop). He updated his registration with our council for both Pack and Troop at the end of December.

@JacquelineGoeppner

Post the Scouting America Member ID (no names) and we will investigate
