Picture illustration: The Cit World stood in the way and prohibited the BOR to be recorded on 4/3/25. Therefore I need to put 4/8/25 which is not true.
Also it Scoutbook plus didnât record who made the update and genetically says BSA administrator.
In scoutbook.com, we can see who updated or changed.
@LaihungNg - in scoutbook.scouting.org you will also find BSA Administrator as that is an action taken by council in updating the record. It appears that others were successful in correcting this by removing a number of merit badges to get the date right them re-entering the merit badges to have them fill in. You would need to print off the scouts BSA history report then work that process.
I will see how to remove it. In that case, we will lose the MBC marked approval date.
@LaihungNg - if the merit badge is completed and awarded that is no longer of consequence
@LaihungNg unapproving the MB is the solution for this for now we think
Then I would close out this rank and then restore the MB after that
Tried to change the cit in world mb date to 4/3/25 and it still didnât work. It said âYouth does not have the necessary merit badge for this rank. â It clearly said completed automatically. I could not use the completed date 4/3/25 .
I would try an Incognito window
I experienced the same issue with ScoutBook populating the completion date for Star Req. 3 with the most recent Eagle Required merit badge completion date. Reading the forum, I then un-approved the most recent Eagle Reqd badge recorded on 5-2-25. This reset the date to the next most recent Eagle Reqd merit badge, which was still after their Star BoR date. Next, I un-approved the 2nd most recent Eagle Merit badge which reset the date for Star Req. 3 to a date BEFORE their actual Star BoR. Then I was able to populate the correct BoR date and complete the Star rank. I then approved the un-approved Eagle Required merit badges I had modified previously using the original approved dates. Now the scoutâs record is accurate and complete. Thanks for posting this thread which helped me identify the solution!
