OA Eligibility Report Incorrect

The OA eligibility report appears to be incorrect. Is this a known issues / workarounds on how to fix? My example is below but I don’t know if other scouts may be having the same issue.

For scout ID 137158978: Their camping activity log history shows 10 short-term and 11 long-term camping nights within the past two years. They achieved First Rank class on 2/22/26. In the OA eligibility report they correctly show 5 long-term nights, but only show 3 short-term nights.

@MarkJackson3- they have the date joined scouts BSA in their profile in scoutbook plus ? and that date if there is correct

Hmm Scout has tons of 1 night campouts??? I can setup a screenshare to take a look @MarkJackson3

@MarkJackson3 what is the REF # on the report?

The scout’s “Date Joined Scouts BSA” is empty. Let me get that updated and see if that helps. I will report back here when updated.

The REF # is ref: PD-20260310113814-432333-719487

@MarkJackson3- perfect.. the report should have noted the scouts without that date entered

Adding the join date fixed the issue - thank you for the quick response!

@MarkJackson3- i would make sure all of your scouts have their date joined entered

Yes, will do. I saw that the field was missing, but didn’t appreciate that it would impact the reports. The volunteer in our troop who updates this says it was automatically populated in the past…not sure if that is correct or not.

Do you happen to know where the data is sourced from so we can make sure the initial scout registration includes the join date?

It has never been automated. There is no source for the date which is the problem - I always used an educated date on the scout joining.

@MarkJackson3 The main purpose of the Date Joined Scouts BSA is to filter out any activities done while a Cub Scout.

If you can access the youth application using the Application Manager at my.Scouting, you can get the Submitted Date from the application form.
