Parent/Child Relationship Anomalies in SB+ Messaging (and Reports)

Seeing a couple of anomalies in the new SB+ messaging module and reports (not sure if report issue pre-dated the updates of the past few weeks–I was just asked to run several reports that brought the issue to my awareness):

  1. When selecting message recipients, four of our leaders (SM, ASM, and two committee members, MIDs 12541998, 240303, 128927779, and 131634658) show up at the top of the list as if they were Scouts without a parent. (SM and ASM have no children in the troop. ASM was a youth member in this troop 15+ years ago.) All of them appear further down the list in the proper roles. After I noticed this, I also found the same anomalous behavior for them in reports (e.g. OA eligibility report). Same problem occurs with these leaders and another committee member (MID 14669092) in our girl troop.

  1. Youth who have a sibling relationship invoked in Scoutbook Plus show up as each others’ parents (e.g. MIDs 129564680, 131889808, and 133387561). Subsequently noticed this occurring in reports (e.g. roster report where “display Parent/Guardian” is selected).

@RyanTashma

There are a few issues with Scouts and Leaders showing in the wrong location depending on what permissions they have. The developers are aware and are working on a fix.

Watch Scoutbook - Scoutbook Plus Change Log - Scouting Forums for an announcement of a fix.
