Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I need some assistance reconnecting a parent to his two scouts. Was a transfer from a different Council, the scouts are working properly now, but the parents now has 2 accounts for the current council, one was set to the primary, but nothing seems to be working correctly.
Parent ID: 142043843 (Primary)
Parent ID: 142187704 (Secondary)
Scout ID : 142043842 (Scout in Pack)
Scout ID: 142187703 (Scout in Troop)
Both Parent IDs show up in Scout in Pack, only the 7704 ID shows up on Scout in Troop.
Ok, thank you for the information, what are they next steps and best course of action. When I have spoken to my Local Council about the SB+ connection issues, they directed me to here because they do not use or access Scoutbook+. Thanks for the help and guidance.
@DarrenFerlazzo I would reccommend asking your local council use their Registrar Tools to look up his children. In the “Relationships” tab / section, they should make sure that he is listed as parent only under member ID (MID) number 142043843. They should remove him if listed as parent under any other MIDs.
After they do that, they should double-check using the Volunteer Support Tools. Right now, the Scout with first initial M. is missing the M. is “Daughter of” relationship to the parent.
Parent needs to be “Father of” the Scout
and
Scout needs to be “Daughter of” [or “Son of”] the Parent
