Parents not receiving Calendar reminders for events their Scouts are invited to

We’ve discovered two parents are not receiving calendar email reminders for events their Scouts are invited to. In this case, both Scouts have been given access to their Scoutbook accounts.

When the parents are invited to the event – one is a leader, one is not – they DO receive the calendar email reminders. It is when only their Scouts are on the invite, they receive no emails.

It was my understanding that parents are supposed to receive calendar email reminders for all events their Scouts are invited to, even if they are not an invitee.

They are supposed to. Is this for the send asap or a scheduled future reminder?

FWIW, both users are using Gmail accounts and they have checked their email account settings and they have no blocked email addresses

@bryanscouting with Gmail - we have found that adding +1 to the end of the email username (ex don+1@gmail.com - this is called an alias - can be +(anything) - ) - for some reason often solves this issue.

tried the Gmail+address, no difference.

but just discovered that they do receive scheduled reminders with the from address: scoutbook.donotreply@scouting.org - but do not receive the ‘send ASAP’ reminders that use the from address: noreply@scouting.org

Thanks for the update. They send from difference code bases right now. So, it’s helpful to narrow it down.

Given this last test, my guess was that the sending process was different from the backend, as we’ve eliminated nearly all (if not all) of the other scenarios on how to initiate a reminder send
