Payment Failed: Bad Request - ACH Payment

I am attempting to make an ACH payment for Unit renewal and get the following error: Payment Failed: Bad Request HTTP POST on resource ‘https://payments.netbsa.org:443/secure/stripe/secureCheckout’ failed: bad request (400)." This error happens in Chrome and Edge, cleared cache, tried incognito. Same error when logging in through bank and manually entering in routing/account number. Since I am unable to pay with ACH, I was thinking I’d do credit card but now that I attempted ACH I am unable to toggle back to “Credit Card” and am stuck with ACH that isn’t working. Has anyone experienced a similar issue and found a solution?

@JessicaErives - i would suggest contacting your council to enter a membercare ticket

Yes, I’ve experienced. Even though it was “failed”, the ACH bank withdrawal transaction still went through.

I highly suggest to using credit card and pay the 2% processing fee difference over ACH 1% to avoid issues and headache.

I was renewing using ACH payment method, I too got “failed” message and thinking I did something wrong, I attempted submission multiple times with “failed” messages each time; however, the ACH transactions went through as many re-attempts after reviewing my bank record.

To make matters worst, even though the funds were withdrawn, the system does not recognize payments were made. I’ve informed my council (no resolution yet) and also asked for refund.

By the way, ACH payments were attempted both for youth and a YPT qualified adult, with same results.

Yes, experienced this same issue and registrar filed a membercare ticket. Unit decided to pay by paper check instead.

The OP’s issue, though, was the money was taken out! So, no additional money needed, just recognition that it really had been paid.

Two responses to this thread (including OP and my own) indicated a failed ACH payment. One response indicates money was repeatedly attempted to be withdrawn. Thank you for this prompt to go review the bank record!

Good point for all of us to check!
