I paid my Unit Renewal on 11/13/2024 9:48 PM EST. via ACH. It has not posted as paid. I got a ping back immediately that said I had authorized BSA to conduct an ACH with my bank on the 11/14. That hasn’t happened. How long does this take? my.scouting.org just acts like I’ve done nothing and wants payment again.
Also why did it show that I owed $101 Recharter Fee and another $1 for ACH. Isn’t recharter $100? Please advise.
@RodneyPayne
These are questions you need to direct to your Council staff.
It would seem to me that a national system charging $101 vs the $100 as reported on myscouting.org instructions wouldn’t be a council problem.
@RodneyPayne it is a Council issue as they have Communication with National - where Forum Volunteers do not for matters like this.

All issues with renewal must be reported via your Council. This is the process the BSA has mandated.

@RodneyPayne - I would add that I received an email from Stripe to verify the ach account. So look for that email. It would be from Stripe support@stripe.com with this header:
Verify your bank account for Boy Scouts of America
I received that email immediately after I posted the payment. The title was ’ Confirmation of direct debit authorization for Boy Scouts of America’. To me that looks like it should have worked.
I have already used ACH to pay membership on (10) individuals earlier and it did not take this long. As of this morning it still hasn’t posted.
@RodneyPayne - i was referring to the email on set up of ach. You have to confirm the micro transaction with the confirmation code on the transaction from the bank website transaction list.
I received this as well. I was logged into my banking app at the time and I verified immediately. This transaction matched the same sequence of events and accounts from an earlier transaction and that was flawless and immediate. I’d like to know if this is pending or a failure before I do it again. I have also contacted the bank and local council to see if they can help. Never had this issue in rechartering in the past.
