Hi there, A parent created a new account when they already had one. Can you please merge the following accounts: 140695321 (this is the extra one) and 140695311 (one we’d like to keep). Thanks, Tanya
It would be better to keep BSA 140695321, because this one has full first name and date of birth (DOB). Plus, the user has already logged in to this one. The other one uses a nickname and the DOB is missing.
As a general rule, it is better to let parents create their own account at my.Scouting vs. creating an account for them within Scoutbook. When units create accounts from inside Scoutbook, these accounts usually are missing DOB and frequently use a nickname, which makes matching later on more difficult.
Ok. That’s fine if you want to keep the other account.
Tanya
Hi
I seem to have multiple accounts. I get at least three emails to the same email anytime the pack sends out an announcement. I also get a notice that another user is signed into the same account when I log in. Any help would be appreciated. I’m not sure if I’m requesting help correctly but was directed to ask for help here.
Thanks
Clinton

@AshleySpencer2 I will take a look.
@AshleySpencer2 Please log out of any BSA systems (my.Scouting, Scoutbook, etc.) while I work on merging your Scoutbook accounts.
I will let you know when I am done.
@AshleySpencer2 I have merged your Scoutbook accounts.
Please ask your local council to use their Registrar Tools to look up your child (or children). In the “Relationships” section, you should be listed as parent only under BSA member ID number 13956989. They should remove you if listed as parent under any other BSA number. Otherwise, your BSA numbers might get switched at Recharter, and this could result in the creation of another Scoutbook account.
will do thank you you are amazing as we have been trying to reach local council for a few weeks
