Problem setting up account: "Select existing account"

I am trying to help a mother connect to scoutbook, but it asking to connect to an existing account with BSA ID: 126268872 . This is the ID for her son (who is on our charter). Could her son have her email address?

that MID has no email in Scoutbook - BUT the connection might be in AKELA (we cannot see those connections)
