Registration not indicating that I have renewed

I recently renewed my BSA adult registration and paid $82. I printed my receipt indicating my fee is paid and my charter organization is Troop 89 (B) with American Legion Post 751. However, when I open Scoutbook Advancement, I get a notice to renew my registration by Dec. How do I get a refund and/or credit for having paid? I am the second person I know who has had this happen.

@FrankMarshall - when you close that notice and look at the roster do you show as renewed ?

You look renewed @FrankMarshall - do you know if COR has approved it yet?

COR is away on an important business trip. I reached out to him yesterday but I have not heard back. When I close the notice and check the Roster. I do not see a statement that I have renewed. I do see that my YPT training is updated through 2026 and my balance is zero.

This might be one of the best arguments for the COR assigning a COR Delegate in my.scouting, assuming that the CO and COR are on board with the idea.

Being able to keep up with what seems to me like it will be a rapidly-changing membership landscape (with individual renewal dates, etc going forward) will be challenging for any single individual to stay on top of. This will be particularly true where the renewals are coming very close to either the expiration date or the end of the grace period.

Not that this rumination helps resolve the particular problem at hand, even assuming I’m right in my suppositions. :^)

@FrankMarshall

Your renewal status is showing as Complete. There is a change going in today that should stop the renewal notice you are seeing.

I just checked MyScouting membership tab and I am listed as “active renewal” for 2024 and I did not receive any renewal notices this time. Does that mean my renewal is “pending”? My COR could not find anything on the mobile app to approve adult leaders. He was going to look on the desktop version of the Charter registration software. My troop is planning to reimburse me from the scout fund since they usually pay for adult leaders. Our COR may reach out to our District registrar so Troop 89 doesn’t duplicate my individual payment.
Thx
