Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Every time I log into Scoutbook Plus (whether directly or when redirected from legacy Scoutbook), I get a message telling me I need to verify my relationship with my older son.
He actually stopped participating in scouts several years ago but his profile remains in Scoutbook/Scoutbook Plus. I used to be an assistant scoutmaster in his old troop which is no longer around Troop 150 - Battleground district). So I was his parent and his assistant scoutmaster and both relationships had been verified.
I am now an assistant scoutmaster in a different troop for my younger son, so I don’t know if that may be part of the problem.
How do I get this message to stop and get my relationship verified? Thank you
@RobertCostantino You do not have the parent / child “relationship” to your older son at my.Scouting. The other parent has the parent / child “relationship”.
You have 2 options:
Ask the local council to add the parent / child “relationship” to your older child.
Or you can log in to Scoutbook (legacy) and go to:
Administration → My Account → My Connections
Click on your older son’s name, click [Scout]'s Connections, click on your name, uncheck the box next to Parent/Guardian, and then click “Update” to save.
i have a similar problem. I have two scout accounts. Under one account it shows my son has two relationships with my wife and I. The other account shows that my son has no relationships. I have tried to follow the prompts to fix the relationships, however I am failing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a few parents in my pack that say they are having a similar issue.
@MichaelJohnston1 Your local council will need to use their Registrar Tools to fix your “relationships”, so that you are listed as parent only under your primary member ID number.
