I want to add a second parent to a scout. I had them make a SB account and they sent me their membership number. But now, to “search” and add them, they also have to give me their date of birth. Why? The membership ID is unique and should be enough. Please remove this requirement or make it an optional field.
@GlennWolfe National Security wants the DOB - I doubt it will be removed.
It could be removed, if someone pushes back. If the people making the policies don’t feel their impacts, they won’t change them.
“Security” is a one-way wrench. it tightens until something breaks.
The SUAC volunteers here don’t have the contacts to push on that rope. This would likely need to go up via the council professional staff. Your best bet is a thoroughly reasoned written explanation of the risks that they can pass along to national.
