Remove "Started" Cititizenship in Society Merit Badge

Now that clicking Scout’s Merit Badges in legacy SB sends me to Scoutbook Plus, I cannot figure out how to remove a started merit badge.

In particular, I’m looking to remove a “started” Citizenship in Society from a Scout’s profile. It has not had Unit Leader Signature nor any requirements entered yet, and the Scout has no intention of working on the merit badge now that it is no longer Eagle required.

Does anyone know how to remove a merit badge in Scoutbook Plus?

There is no way to remove started status - though soon it will be much harder to start. Being started causes no harm to the scout.

While I agree with Donovan in general that it causes no harm, we are asking the developers about this particular merit badge. Not sure what the answer will be, but the question has been asked.

Thank you for the quick replies.

There is a story in the backlog to “unstart” MBs that were started in Legacy Scoutbook that have no requirements completed, no noted and the initial unit leader signature is not set. We do not know when this story will be scheduled for development work.

Scoutbook Plus calculates “started” differently so just looking at a MB’s requirements will not “start” the badge.

In SB+ a MB is not started unless: A requirement is marked complete, a comment is made, or a MBC is assigned

Following up on this.
I have a Scout that a MBC was assigned to Sustainability and it is currently showing as the MB he is going to complete for Eagle.
He wants to complete Environmental Science instead.
Do we have a way to “Unstart” Sustainability?

@mitchelr

You don’t need to “unstart” sustainability. Once he finishes Env Sci it will automatically be used on his Eagle App. For the MBs where there is a choice, the system uses the earliest completion date to fill in the Eagle App.

As soon as he has 1% more for EScience than Sustainability - it will replace it in the Eagle Rank.
