Renewals process and Internet Advancement Streamlining

Hi,

I’m the COR for 5 units comprised of 306 youth and 207 adults.

The new online renewal system needs some streamlining.

We’re effectively doing “recharter” continuously with this process (which most units had established processes for). Key 3 is typically reviews those in “aggregate”. It makes perfect sense for new registrations to be viewed individually to ensure the right scrutiny is applied. Especially for adults.

However, there is (unless it happens out of band) no value add to individually approving every renewal (It’s merely button pushing) and getting a renewal notification (with limited information as to whether it’s a scout or adult) individually.

This is going to turn notifications into unread noise (And if you look at the numbers above I’m literally going to be the recipient of over 500 individual notification mails).

The quality of information as to what action is required from whom as to what kind of renewal needs to be improved.

The option needs to exist to receive them in batch on a monthly cadence.

Membership coordinator roles need to have appropriate access to approve youth.

Bottom line. The workflow needs improvement.
