Several troop members show on the roster with a status under (Renewal order status) as “Submitted” but have expired membership dates. These same members have a (renewal status) of “Eligible to Renew.”… I need clarification on terminology here…
Are the expire dates in the past or in the Future @ClaytonHealy ??
Submitted typically means 1 of two things:
- Adult renewal has not been approved by the COR.
- Payment is pending. If paid via a check at the Council office, the status will remain submitted and will not update until after the Council processes the renewal which can’t happen until after the current membership expires.
Both some are in the past, and some are 12/31/24
Well renewals do not really take effect until the old one is over - will have to look at something
Are these all primary in your unit? Multiple registrations don’t seem to work right if another unit pays for them.
Mix of both primary and multiple
My multiple memberships took over 2 weeks to clean up and show good expiration dates in all units.
Did anyone ever get resolution to this issue/situation? We are facing the same. We have a member who has been showing “Submitted” for about 6-8 weeks. Over that time, their membership has expired – still no change. We can’t do anything with the account because, even though it says “eligible to renew,” we get “The following members have existing orders” error. Anyone else facing the same?
@AllisonStewart - i would suggest talking to the registrar about it. Is this a youth or adult? Does the unit have auto approve set for renewal?
@Stephen_Hornak we raised the issue with our Council, but they said it just needs to process payment. After it had been almost two months, their answer was basically, “we don’t know.” It is a youth, and I’m the treasurer - we do not have auto approve set for renewal. It’s a head scratcher.
Council should open a ticket with national member care if they don’t know how to resolve it.
