Report to show scouts who need a PoR for rank advancement?

Could anyone here help me by describing how to generate a report of Scouts in my Troop who need a PoR for rank advancement, or by pointing me to a reference that explains it?

Thanks!

@BenjaminHeavner first as a Scoutmaster I can say that is not my job - that is the Scouts to keep track of.

You could make a report with these settings and basically get that IN the report

@BenjaminHeavner Here is how you can create a custom youth leadership report in Scoutbook Plus:

Reports → Custom Reports → New Custom Roster Report

  1. Start by selecting your Scouts.
  2. Then select your desired options under “Positions”.

Please note that the report will include all current leadership positions, even those that do not qualify as a POR for Star / Life / Eagle. If you want to see past leadership positions, you will need to look at the Scout’s profile or run the Scouts BSA History Report.

Thanks, but I kind of want the opposite of that - a list of scouts who have NOT satisfied the leadership position requirement for rank advancement.

Sure, the context here is that as Scoutmaster, I’d like to hand such a list to our Senior Patrol Leader for their information and consideration to prepare to discuss PoR appointments with me - which IS my job.

There are no exclusion reports down to the requirement level like that @BenjaminHeavner. You could run the list above, and isolate to Star/Life/Eagle - as that would be all you needed.

But again, in my troop it is the scouts job to go to me or the SPL and say “I need a POR for my next rank”.

Though you could make the above report > get the CSV > and rip out what you want to hand off

Too bad. It’d be a wonderful feature if the reports allowed more Boolean logic, like NOT… export to a spreadsheet it is!
