Request to Correct Youth Account Configuration and Member IDs

Hello, My daughter’s youth account appears to have a configuration issue. Her training page is currently displaying adult volunteer courses instead of the courses appropriate for her youth profile.

Her profile currently shows three Member IDs:

  • One – 939: This appears to be her actual Youth Member ID, which contains two years of youth advancement records, but it also has adult training courses incorrectly attached to it.

  • Two – [Member ID]: I am not sure.

  • Three – [Member ID]: I am also not sure.

Could a moderator or administrator please help review these three Member IDs and determine which one is her correct youth profile?

If possible, could you please:

  1. Identify the correct Member ID containing her youth profile and youth advancement history.

  2. Separate any records that have been incorrectly combined or attached to the wrong profile.

  3. Remove or disassociate the incorrect duplicate Member ID(s), if appropriate.

  4. Remove the adult training courses that were incorrectly associated with her youth profile.

  5. Ensure that her username/login is mapped only to her correct Youth Member ID and youth profile.

We want to make sure her advancement history and youth records are preserved correctly while resolving the account configuration issue.

Thank you very much for your help. I truly appreciate your time and assistance in getting her account corrected.

@Vijaya_ShanthiSounda - the full member id would be helpful and where are you seeing the training courses ?

@Vijaya_ShanthiSounda I have fixed what I can. The training will need to be removed by someone with access to the Training Manager at my.Scouting.org (Unit Training Chair, Committee Chair, Scoutmaster, or Key 3 Delegate). Or the local council can remove the training.

Thank you for your help. My daughter’s my.Scouting account currently shows these three Member IDs:

  • -939
  • -918
  • -436

I am seeing the training courses on her my.Scouting.org → My Training page → Scouts BSA . That page is showing all adult courses/Learning Plans/Programs.

One of these IDs (-939) contains her youth advancement history in Scoutbook, and this is also the ID where she completed the adult courses. I have not checked the other two yet. I want to confirm the correct process for identifying her true youth Member ID and safely unlinking the duplicates before merging.

She is trying to complete ILST, Den Chief, and other youth courses, but she cannot find them on her course page. That is how we discovered that her account is showing adult courses instead.

Thank you again for your guidance.

@Vijaya_ShanthiSounda The member ID number ending in -939 is the correct number. You will need to ask someone to manually remove the training.

ILST is not available online. It is in person training.

Den Chief training is available online. Important note: She should print out her certificate at the end of the training, because it is not tracked online. She can provide her certificate to the troop’s Training Coordinator, and they can enter it using the Training Manager.

Thank you so much! I will update our Troop or council and my daughter as well about the courses.
