Roster management from my.scouting.org

Hi,
I’m a committee member & treasurer for my troop (430). I’d like to update roster and pay dues on scouts behalf, but I don’t seem have that access. I saw committee chair could do those things on his account. Who should I contact in order to get those access? Thanks.

One of the Key 3 might be able to give you the Functional Role of Key 3 Delegate - not sure what other roles might have the access

A Units Key 3 are the Chair, Unit Leader and COR - they have access to Add Key 3 Delegates if they choose to - it is up to the committee.

K3D is under the “Functional Roles” tab of the Position Manager at my.scouting

I was assigned Key 3 Delegate (image captured from scoutbook → troop roster), but on my.scouting.org I still don’t see Organization Manager items. Any help would be appreciated.

My experience has been that the K3D role only appears in Scoutbook when it’s been assigned in my.scouting.

Assuming it’s not just a lingering indicator (e.g. after a renewal/recharter), what is selected in the “Organization” drop-down in the left side menu in my.scouting? I find that if my council or district is selected there – since I’m only a Unit Key 3 Delegate – none of those menu options appear. You may need to toggle the Organization to your unit, then close and reopen the left side menu. Usually it updates for me without that, but this morning it wasn’t immediately updating.

@ChuckCho It looks like the key 3 delegate position was properly assigned today. I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes a day before the extra functionality appears for you.

I have been the Committee Chairman and the Chartered Organization Representative for 20+ years, and www.My.Scouting.org has me listed that way on my profile, but there isn’t any access so I may do the re-charter. I’ve reached out to our Council, but they never get back to me. Any hints of suggestions?

@NicholasBrenon - what do you see when you click on the menu in the upper left?
