A couple quick observations on the new SB+ payment on boarding.
The instructions state “Once the Direct Payment Contact is confirmed your account will go into “Initiated” status and you will see a “Create Stripe Account” box.” That “Create Stripe Account” button is there as soon as you go to that page. Staged or initiated plays no factor (pictured below, currently staged).
The Direct Payment Contact in the instructions list the following:
Unit Leader, Chartered Organization Representative, Committee Chair, Key 3 Delegate, or Treasurer.
COR was not an option in the drop down list however, Executive Officer was (both are listed the same for our unit). However, the Executive Officer did not have a phone number listed (although the COR’s profile does have 2 phone number listed in her profile, the same #). Since the Direct Payment Contact is not free form, we couldn’t use the Executive Officer as the contact (or COR since it wasn’t listed either).
@TravisStephens - I just double checked our units and the COR is listed. Is the COR listed in my.scouting.org ?
@TravisStephens in the Pack your XO and COR are the same person - so it might be defaulting to the XO info which is much less

Yes, the COR is listed in my.scouting.org and has a phone number listed.

Yes, they are listed as the same person in my.scouting even though we didn’t set up that way. At least with our council, they get the Charter Agreement and because there is no info but a name to create an account for the XO, they usually list the COR & XO as the same person.
The question would be where does one add the phone number for the XO when they are the same person and the profile already has phone number listed (home and home).

@TravisStephens - then I would delete the duplicate number. Ours has home and work numbers set.
Try removing the duplicate number. It might be confusing the system.
Unfortunately since I’m staged. I can’t test it any further. Can’t edit until it’s accepted.
Will the Payment logs allow for manual entries or only Stripe entries? I do manual entries today in Scoutbook to show my parents on the red Scouting app their receipts and scout account balances. I never figured out the PayPal piece when it was active.
@ThomasCline Logs will function the saw way - it is just the payment portal changing from Paypal to Stripe

It has been a week (through a Friday) and our Direct Payment is still Staged.
Are there any other reported issues?

Sure but it’s the exact same as the one I posted to start this thread at the top.
so have you never gotten past the CREATE STRIPE?
As originally reported, the CREATE STRIPE ACCOUNT is always there. It was there before ever filling in the contact info (contrary to the onboarding instructions).
If I click the button I get the below error.
I Assume there is not an existing stripe account for the email used?
You mean the individual’s personal email address? I don’t believe so but could be associated with the Pack’s Stripe account that already exists. But since the only thing I’ve done is fill in my Treasure’s account info, Scoutbook+ would have no way of knowing or associating the Pack’s account to hers since I haven’t been able to enter anything in for the Pack.
I also can’t edit that user account so I can’t change it to someone else. It’s just stuck.
It is not SB knowing it is Stripe - different system - all I am saying is that could be a good clue
The pack has a stripe account already registered under a different email address and different user. This user has some access to the Stripe account but is not even considered an admin let alone a super admin.
That would indicate that everyone needs to remove their personal email addresses from any stripe account to be associated with a unit account through this SB integration?
