The Payment Log Report seems to show the sum of the absolute amounts that have passed through the system for this scout. It seems an error to show this as the Net, which would be zero.
The first screenshot shows that there is a zero balance for this scout.
The second screenshot shows that there is a $24 amount (due?) for this scout.
The third screenshot does show some detail of the balance due on the Member Payment Logs screen.
Is this a bug or the intended presentation?
@ThomasLunde - in the scout payment log view all transactions is there a $24 dollar amount listed ? The balance shown I have found to be correct but if the report dates do not capture all transactions yet can get odd report results.
Nope, there is no single $24 transaction listed.
Our pack is just looking at getting started with the Payments functionality of Scoutbook. (And we’re very happy that it exists – when fully baked, it will be very nice to have this and not have to maintain a separate accounting system / set of spreadsheets!)
The total charge of $12 in the last screenshot above and the “paid balance” of $12 are the only transactions on this scout’s account. So, no single $24 transaction (either debit or credit) exists. However, the middle screenshot shows a report labeled “Net Change” of $24, so that seems wrong. I’m the committee chair and the parent of this scout, so I can screenshot the reports/screens available at the Pack-level or at the parent level, if that’d be helpful in troubleshooting this. (If there is a forum specifically for bug reports, please feel free to redirect this issue if that’d be helpful.)
Do you see the same result/mismatch for this scout if you set the date to “All” in the pulldown instead of the date range shown? That would help with diagnosis.
Also, is this unique to the scout you’re showing, or does a similar symptom exist for other scouts?
It would also be helpful to have:
- the full report reference number
- Member IDs (no names, please!) for the impacted scout or a few exemplars if there’s more than one scout impacted
for the SUAC volunteers to investigate.
