Is scout book email down ? Emails were sent 3 hours ago and have not be received yet.

Same for me but more like 2 hrs.

This is twice in the last two weeks. What is going on with it?

Anyone have an update? The email about our meeting this evening going virtual due to weather is stuck in the queue. Really don’t want parents driving in a snowstorm for no reason.

Same here, I sent an email about tonight’s meeting around 12. Still have not recieved.

Once thing I can note is due to extreme weather conditions in Texas and through the midwest there are carrier circuit issues being noted on downdetector.com.

Please be advised that some BSA IT systems are down due to widespread power outages in the Dallas area. Scoutbook does not seem to be affected except for reporting and email functions. Internet Re-chartering and some My Scouting functions may be impacted.

There are issues in the National BSA data center including loss of internet access due to the storms in TX. BSA IT is working with their vendor to restore service as soon as possible.

This is not related to the outage a few weeks ago. The root cause of that outage was found and fixed.

Just to tag onto this, I am seeing the same thing, both email and text functions are down.

@MatthewGerard - it is an area wide issue… more than likely out of BSA control due to power and circuit problems.

Good opportunity to take a few minutes and set up a back-up communication plan for your unit. Nobody can control the weather, but we can control our response to it.
