Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Scout member ID 141250210 was ended in Scoutbook Legacy a few months ago. The family never attended meetings or replied to emails during the 2024-2025 year.
Family attended the new member recruitment and decided to renew his membership for the 2025-2026 year. The renewal was completed early last week roughly 9/22/25 or 9/23/25.
I can’t see this scout in Scoutbook or Scoutbook Plus to add him to the den, even after trying to re-link to the scout in scoutbook legacy. This populates the error “Scout was not found. Please verify the Scout is properly registered with a troop, crew or ship and try again.” despite him being a Cub and renewed with the pack.
Calls to my council show the renewal is complete and can’t source why we can’t connect. This scout already attended his first den meeting now and an adventure!
I noticed on a post two years ago that a position sync may solve my issue (image below for reference)? My newer Registrar confirmed she is unable to perform this task.
How recently did the scout renew? It typically takes a bit for them to reappear in the official roster at my.scouting, then a day or two after that to turn up in SB/SB+.
The day I saw the renewal was 9/24 which was when I escalated it to my council. I’m assuming they completed it sometime between the 22nd and 23rd because I knew I was going to have problems with this account since we ended them.
Thanks Jennifer, I see him now and have him assigned to his Den! Is this something my council should be able to do, or is this more of a National level resolution? Our registrar is very new and learning alongside us!
