Scoutbook advancement and recharter

Our council is having great difficulty renewing our Charter, some of it due to participants registered in multiple units. Because of this we can not enter Advancement. We get the error below.

“This unit has not renewed its charter. Unit management within Scoutbook Plus (advancement, calendar, reports) is now restricted. Unit leadership should contact their local council and renew this unit’s charter to restore full Scoutbook Plus functionality.

”There must be a workaround for this problem. If not, our next Court of Honor will be a disaster.

Currently National gives no Grace period for Charters - so SB+ is working as national wants.

The council should have access to national staff who can assist if they’re having technical issues. The SUAC volunteers don’t have access to the teams that support the my.scouting platform or the registration/recharter platforms.

I appreciate the follow up, but this just punishes Scouts for council problems. How can we advocate for a grace period?

Only Council staff can open tickets with Member Care. The individuals who can do this are unique to each Council. The SUAC does not have a list of Council staff members who can open tickets. You will have to work with your Council office to determine who in your Council is responsible for this.
