I am trying to get my parents all on board to using scoutbook this year. I want to make it my central place for sending out email and text notices for pack events and den messages, but many of my parents will not accept the scoutbook invitation no matter what. My question is this: do they have to actually be invited to and login to scoutbook or is having them as a connection to their scout enough for them to get emails/texts? I know that I may have to input some email addresses manually for them as they may not have put one on the application and thus it doesn’t pull from council, but will they get the email as long as they are listed as a connection whether their scoutbook account shows Pending or not?
