Scouting Android App only offering wrong Google account for Sign in with Google
I’m having a problem signing into the Scouting mobile app using Google.
Device: Google Pixel 10 Pro
Android: Android 17
Scouting app: Version 2.7.30
I have three Google accounts added to my phone, including my personal Google account that is linked to my Scouting account.
I have routinely used Sign in with Google with my personal Google account to access Scouting.
When I use the Scouting website in Chrome and select Sign in with Google, Google correctly displays all of my available Google accounts and I can select my personal account and sign in successfully.
However, when I select Sign in with Google in the Android Scouting app, the Google account picker displays only my husband’s Google account. My personal Google account isn’t offered, and there is no “Use another account” option.
I have confirmed that my personal Google account is added to Android and syncing normally.
Troubleshooting already attempted:
- Cleared the Scouting app cache
- Cleared the Scouting app storage/data
- Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the Scouting app
- Confirmed all Google accounts are present under Android’s account settings
- Confirmed Google is enabled as the preferred credential/password service
- Confirmed that my correct Google account works with Scouting through the website
After completely uninstalling and reinstalling the Scouting app, the problem remains exactly the same: the app’s Google account picker only offers my husband’s account.
Because the Scouting website’s Google login correctly offers all of my Google accounts while the Android app only offers one, this appears to be specific to the Google sign-in/account-picker implementation in the Android Scouting app.
Is this a known issue with Scouting 2.7.30 on Android, or is there another app-specific Google sign-in setting I should check?
