ok, so they switched from the almost OK scoutbook to the supposedly better scoutbook, and I lost permissions and no one can get those back to me, wondering if anyone out there has had the same issue and how (or if) they were able to get those permissions back?
@TimMcFee - what is your registered position in the unit ?
A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. See the updated Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video for more details.
@TimMcFee a Unit Key3 can add permissions with the information in the links above.
Our scoutmaster has added full permissions 3 times, I watched him do it every time, it just wont stick. Maybe National has fired me and I just wasnt told ![]()
Is he clicking the Apply button above the permissions he is changing? Clicking the wrong Apply button is typically the reason permissions don’t stick.
@TimMcFee - if you are talking about full control in legacy connection manager that will do nothing just like unit admin there.
