I am having an issue with Life Req 3 - Merit Badges. The Scout was awarded Life Rank on 3/30/25. Thankfully, we have a copy of an old advancement report and comments that confirm the Scout’s rank completion.

Apparently, SB+ is not automatically pulling the earliest Eagle MBs. As the result, SB+ is pulling Camping MB as one of her seven Eagle MBs (completed 9/7/25). Because the Camping MB date is 6 months later, SB+ changed her completion date for Req 3, Req 8 (BOR) and Life Rank approval date to 9/8/25. We cannot fix Req. 3 because the MB requirement is automatically set by the system. We cannot change Req 8 or rank approval to a date before Req. 3.

This is apparently a known problem. I called the local council, who unapproved her Life rank and the Camping MB and tried to internally correcting the Life Rank dates. (Recommended in the Forums) This did not work. The Scout is ready to submit her Eagle application, but the system will not allow us to approve her 6 month requirements because her Life date is wrong. Her 18th birthday is in 16 days.

Who can I talk to about correcting the issue?

@JenniferFrederickson What version of Life is it? Does Life have a final approved date? Does the one day difference between 9/7 -9/8 effect the scout? What is the Scout Member # (no names)? As long as all requirements other than BOR are done - the scout has 2 years to finish Eagle process after 18th birthday.

Final approval date was 3/30/25. Version 2016. The problem is not the one day difference. She ages out on 12/27/25. At either 9/7/25 or 9/8/25 she would not have enough time to meet the 6 month requirements for Eagle. We need the system to have the correct Life date so we can approve Eagle Reqs. 1&4. ID: 14820919

Her records show she had the 7 Eagle and 5 Other MBs as of 8/24/24 not 9/7/25.

Thought this was all resolved - I can setup a screenshare and probably get it fixed if you want

R3 appears to be incorrect for this Scout. We have provided the list of MBs and what we believe the correct R3 date should be to the developers. R3 should either been marked complete 8/24/24, the date of the 7th Eagle MB or 9/20/24, the date of earning Star.

Please try to update the Life complete date. The Scout’s R3 date has been fixed.

That worked! I was able to update her BOR and Life date and mark Eagle 1&4 as complete. Thank you very much.

Yeah - we think you had a BOR date filled in which locked the rank when a fix was run
