I am regularly having issues as a leader using ScoutBook Plus. Tools don’t work within the program and most of the tools I actually need are still in “legacy” ScoutBook. Then most tools within ScoutBook don’t work. We need a single website that works. Also, it needs to work on all browsers. I shouldn’t have to be on a certain browser for the websites to work.
@RussellBainbridge - could you be more specific on what is not working ? What browser are you working on ?
My log-in only works half the time. I have had to give Scouts the same award multiple times. I have had to transfer Scouts multiple times. I have removed adult leaders multiple times. I have updated adult leaders multiple times. Links don’t take you anywhere. Links take you in a circle. Basically the whole website.
I’ve never had a login issue except when the overall site was down, and that’s been fairly rarely. Are you authenticating via a third-party (e.g. Google or Apple login) or Scouting America credentials?
Specifics as to what is going on are necessary for things to be investigated by the SUAC volunteers and passed along to the developers. Member IDs (not names please) for at least some of the scouts and the awards at issue would get started.
Are you talking about reassigning to patrols? I’ve seen issues with this when one or more leaders in a unit do this in classic SB where it has caused issues for other leaders in the unit. I haven’t seen it occur when patrols are only managed in SB+.
Can you elaborate on what you mean about removing leaders? Are you talking about removing them from the unit entirely? That’s a registration issue that needs to be handled through the registrar, not SB+. Are you talking about changing functional roles (at my.scouting or in SB+?) or registered positions (i.e. at my.scouting)?
Can you elaborate on what you mean by “updating” leaders? Do you mean reassigning functional roles? Changing permissions in SB+? It’s hard without any details to understand what the issue might be.
If you can specify which links you’re seeing are broken, the SUAC can pass that along to the developers to get then corrected. I’m not as clear about what you mean by “take you in a circle”. Can you provide an example of such a link and what the behavior you’re seeing is?
@RussellBainbridge - the lack of specific detail does not help you. You may want to answer the questions posted by Charlie as that will get us closer to fixing the issue
