I’m trying to make adjustments for Scouts from years ago who still have balances in Scoutbook payment log. I’ve found that a number of past scouts in our unit have a balance of $1003.53. When I run a report, the scouts with this error are those in the report who are missing a BSA member ID number. Can someone go into the backend and zero-out their balances? Their Scoutbook User ID numbers are the following:

@JonathanMcLaughlin1 - i trust you are NOT doing this in legacy scoutbook. You need to work on this in advancements.scouting.org.
You will need to set the registration type to past in this search window
I’m not clear how there can be scouts who are missing a Member ID in the system. Were these accounts your unit created manually in the classic Scoutbook system somehow? In order for advancement to sync with the national database system, Member IDs have to exist.
No idea. But the CSV report does not have member numbers for those scouts
I am working on this in the new scoutbook.
This amount of -1003.53 only appears when I click on the Scouts in the Search Transactions list. But in the list itself, it has different amounts for each Scout.
I want to clear these and zero them out so that our unit’s liabilities and assets will be accurate.
@JonathanMcLaughlin1 - do you have a button to add transaction ?
Yes. When I put in an adjustment of 1003.53 credit to zero it out, and then go back to the list, it does not show 0 on the list, but shows a different amount.
@JonathanMcLaughlin1 - does it show zero here
That is the number you are trying to zero out
Here’s an example
-95 on the list.
I click on his name
So I try to make an adjustment by crediting his account 95$ (record a credit from the unit).
But then get an error:
@JonathanMcLaughlin1
Two of the SBIDs are looked at are associated with deleted accounts, the 3rd has on Member ID. I have asked the developers for assistance as I suspect there is no simple solution.
Thank you. I figured it might be difficult without BSA member ids.
I checked the Payment Logs this morning and it seems that the developers went in and deleted all the past scouts who lacked BSA member numbers and whose accounts were glitched and stuck at $1003.53. I’ll have to look over the rest of the scouts (119 of them) to doublecheck, but I think the problem is solved. Thank you.
