Steps to reproduce:
Make a scout into a Scribe.
Login as that scout.
Notice that the scout cannot take attendance.
Agreed, would be nice to allow scribe to update attendance.
Are you trying that in Scoutbook or the app? At one point scribes could take attendance, but not in Scoutbook - only in the app.
To do it in Scoutbook, the Scout has to have calendar editor role.
Scout cannot track attendance even if they have calendar editor permission.
Tying attendance taking to calendar editor permission is a bad idea. There is a WHOLE different level of technical trust required there. Also, because Calendar Editor can corrupt calendar entries simply by viewing them, it is too dangerous to give to anyone.
If you have seen this, it should be reported as a bug.
