I am the cubmaster for my pack and we have been doing joint events with another area pack. Is there a way to share their calendar with the members of my pack in scoutbook plus? It seems to work if I am a multiple of their pack but I’m loathe to get every single one of my pack scouts to be a multiple with the other pack if not absolutely necessary. Thanks
A user that is Pack Admin of Both units at once can make joint events - otherwise you could share the ICS file for the other unit so families could subscribe to it.
Thanks, how do I make the other pack member a pack admin in my unit? I already went into Connections Manager in legacy scoutbook and gave them Full Control to all the scouts in my unit but that didn’t seem to give them Pack Admin status. Thanks
@AlexMa - it is a position that has to be added in scoutbook to that adult.
@Stephen_Hornak Thanks, Where do I go to add that position?
@AlexMa - unit roster, then click on the leader, then scroll down and look for the add position button, click on that and add the admin role.
@Stephen_Hornak Thank you! You’re a lifesaver
@DonovanMcNeil Thanks but that PackAdmin role doesn’t seem to be working. I’m listed as Pack Admin for both Packs in legacy Scoutbook but when I create a new event in Scoutbook Plus, all I see is the option to add my own Pack, not the one we’re doing a joint event with. Can you advise?
@AlexMa it takes at least 24 hours - and if not registered in other unit officially it does not always work - that is a major change in SB+ - to work in a unit you HAVE to be registered in the unit.
@DonovanMcNeil Thanks, I’ll try again tomorrow. By registered in other unit, does that work if I’m a Multiple in the other unit? Thanks
@AlexMa yes exactly - where before in SB we could add any adult that was Registered somewhere. SB+ is moving to honor the COR and Charter organization decisions for their own unit by making sure individuals with access to their members are approved by the Charter organization.
