Sibling Relationship in Scoutbook Plus

I was going though and updating parent/family relationships in Scoutbook Plus that didn’t migrate over from Scoutbook Legacy and noticed that one of the Relationship options in the menu is “Is a brother/sister of”.

I have several youth members in my unit that are siblings, and I wanted to see if anyone has any experience using these relationship for scouts in their unit and what the results of that were - I couldn’t find many details in the help files. I see I can enter youth ID information and their name does come up in the search results, suggesting it might be possible.

Does setting up a youth relationship to other youth family members offer any benefits to be aware of? I don’t think I want youth to have parent-level access to their siblings - does that happen? or is this designation only intended for adult siblings? Do they receive a verification email like parents do? Thanks for sharing your experiences!

I would stay a mile away from all that stuff. Scouting Americas relationship stuff is ridiculous if you were to ever see the whole thing.
