It’s glacial - we have 30 kids at our meeting - can’t do a single Scoutmaster conference because pages don’t load. Sad!
Mondays are often Tough
I too am unable to support my scout meeting tonight. There is something wrong with my.scouting. It lets me log in but does not display my name or my member id or my registered positions. I don’t have any of my usual menu items. Just spins for a couple minutes - or until I give up and close the window. I think that the interface and credential checking are OK but whatever accesses the backend database that has all the other stuff is not available or is really slow.

I had the same issues. It halfway loaded. It eventually fully loaded, but took a long time.
We are also having issues, takes ten minutes to create a single calendar event. then a few minutes to move from page to page.
As @DonovanMcNeil noted, since so many units meet on Monday nights, the entire Scoutbook continuum of web interfaces is often quite slow. That’s not to excuse it, just to make sure folks are aware that BSA has already been told about the issue in general, so not quite all of us need to tell them. Mostly, it may be useful if:
- it’s not a service that’s already been reported (e.g. if Scoutbook is reported but SB+ isn’t, reporting SB+ issues might be helpful)
- it’s a different AWS server than has already been reported (please include your server name in the text of your message). This at least lets folks know it’s more than just a single server that’s choking down.
- it persists on more than just one day (i.e. they already know Mondays are bad. If it’s still continuing Tuesday morning…)
Remember that the SUAC folks have to eyeball every report we supply them with to figure out if it’s new data or not. To the greatest extent we as users can filter it before we send it to them, the easier their jobs will be.
There were system issues most of the day yesterday with part of the infrastructure causing trouble. BSA IT was working to resolve the issues but they bled into the evening when Scoutbook gets busy.
