Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
We have a transfer scout that has moved several times and has multiple profiles. The one that is shown in SB/SB+ for us is not the most current one. Is there a way to merge the one that’s in SB with the correct profile, and have the correct profile be the primary (and the one that shows up in SB)?
Scout’s BSA ID for the primary profile is 140494983, which is under a shortened version of the scout’s first name. This info is what was listed on his transfer application.
The profile currently shown in SB is for BSA ID# 134728180, which is under his full name.
Hi. I have a similar issue after transferring my scouts and myself to a new council and the council has been unable to assist.
Can you merge my son R’s account (old one) (removed by Moderator) with the current account (removed by Moderator)? I’d like R’s scoutbook current profile to reflect all his previous scouting work. Thanks
Thank you, that worked! Follow up question - we are unable to see this scout’s full profile page. When we click on “Edit Profile” in SB, it takes us to his profile page in SB+, which is blurred out and we get an error message that our positions and permissions do not give us access. This is happening for both our SM and me (key 3 delegate), both with full admin roles. If we go back to SB and click on his advancements or awards, we can see and approve them in SB+. If we try to go to his profile page from advancement or awards in SB+, we still get the error message, but we can at least see part of his profile (but not his name). Any idea why this is happening?
@AlisonShearer I think it might be related to the Dad having multiple member ID numbers and also multiple Scoutbook accounts. I have merged the Dad’s Scoutbook accounts.
Could you ask the local council to use their Registrar Tools to look up the Scout? In the “Relationships” tab / section, ask them to check that the Dad is only listed as parent under the Dad’s primary member ID (MID) number, which ends in -326. He should be removed if listed as parent under any other MID.
The Dad also has 2 usernames (logins) at my.Scouting. The local council can also help with that.
