Trying to Add Youth Member ID with Adult Member ID

I am trying to add my youth member ID to to my adult profile, but when I go to add it with manage member ID, it states “The provided Member ID does not match the existing user profile.” Is this something someone on here can assist with? Below are my account details. The names on the account might not exact matach because on my old membership cards, there isn’t a middle name or initial printed. Only my first and last name are printed. This account was from the late 90s early to mid 2000s. If you need further information let me know.

Curent Adult Member ID: 136442910 w/ Central Florida Council 083

Youth Member ID: 4970450 w/ National Capital Area Council 082

The issue is the first name does not match. It appears your nickname is on your NCAC Member ID. Contact NCAC to have them change your record to your legal name then you should be able to manage the IDs.

Thanks. I’ll contact NCAC.

I am also trying to add my son to my account as a connection. I see him as having applied within scoutbook.org, but I am not seeing the ability to connect him within Scoutbook+. I see my older son, but know means of connecting my younger son.

Adults can not connect themselves to a scout as a parent/guardian. The unit Key 3 (e.g. Scoutmaster/Cubmaster/Crew Advisor/Skipper, Chartered Org Rep or Committee Chair) can make that connection for you. Alternatively, if they can’t figure out how, the council registrar can make the connection.

Please note that connections in classic SB do not carry over to SB+ and should not be relied on.

A Parent cannot add themself - another parent in relationship can add a new parent, a unit can add a parent in SB+ or a council can make the relationship.
