Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Good evening - I’m getting a warning that my email was used for another account, but I only have one. What is the best way to get that cleaned up?

I also have a Scout that is multiple registered in two councils. It seems confusing to IA/my scouting as he is not showing as registered in the local Troop.

He also apparently ended up with a second account/set of ID numbers which does show connected to our Troop, but not to his other Troop.

@MarkBruno first issue is solved - second issue has a few layers - every council has their own numbering system - so yes the scout has 2 different numbers that are independent. The best way to manage that in Scoutbook is to choose one unit that handles all advancement.
I recommend that you contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up your children. When they look up your children, they want to check your children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that your children are connected to you as parent with Only your correct BSA member ID number - and it has to be a number from that council
well it all depends if they are in 2 councils at once or just one - Scout is registered in BRMC till 1/31/25 - in NCAC till 12/31/25. Scoutbook Platforms only support one BSA # (One registration at a time.) So for Scouts it is either best to keep 2 separate SB Users - or decide what is the Primary Advancement Unit and just keep that SB Account.
