In September 2025, we added troop youth #13662580 as a den chief to our pack successfully. He appeared in SB Legacy correctly in the assigned den. Note that the old process had me inviting the youth with last name, ID and DOB, and the troop had to accept the request.
Since October he disappeared from both SB and SB+, and I am unable to add him through the new SB+ interface. From the roster, I click Add Individual > Add Den Chief. Error message is “Eligible Den Chief not found with the information provided”.
Sharing the solution that I figured out on my own:
I reached out to the Troop Scoutmaster and asked him to check the youth’s leadership position. Den Chief was listed with correct start dates. Everything looked fine, but the “approved” checkbox was not checked. He checked it and saved. Now the youth appears in the pack roster in SB+.
I’m not sure how and when the approved box got unchecked, but it was a simple fix.
