I am registered as an Assistant Scoutmaster and Advancement Coordinator for our troop. I am able to begin new merit badges for our scouts, but when I try to invite a MB Counselor, I am forwarded to a list of adult leaders already associated with that Scout. I am unable to search for a merit badge counselor outside of our troop and invite them to serve as a MB counselor. I do not see the red “invite” buttons anywhere in the process.

Thank you for the response, but I have gotten this far and used a known MB counselor. The search consistently tells me that there are no entries for that information. It’s a dead end even when I use a known counselor.
@GeorgeHasselback - can you try searching for me. I just did a search on a known MBC in my area and it worked. I suspect something off in your search. Beyond that if you have the feature assistant installed the search is easier along with the invite.
If the MBC is connected to the Scout for any reason, search will return not found. If this is the case, edit the existing connection and add MBC and the MB.
@GeorgeHasselback - it is also worth noting that MBC can set thier respective listing preferences in scoutbook. This could limit the ability to find and connect them. Critical to a successful search is matching their name as listed.
